Programs
Four programs. One set of standards.
A seven-year-old and a seventy-year-old do not train the same way — so we do not teach them the same way. What stays constant is what we are actually building: confidence, focus, discipline, respect.
Ages 5–9 · Both locations
Kids Martial Arts
Real self-defense, taught alongside the life skills that make the rest of their week easier — focus, discipline and respect.
Belt goals do quiet work here. A kid who has felt what it is like to grind at something for three months and earn it stops treating hard homework as a wall. That habit is the actual product.
Self-defense they can actually use
Focus that carries into schoolwork
Respect for adults, teammates and themselves
For parents
Their first class is free
- No experience and no uniform needed: comfortable clothes are fine.
- You watch the whole class from the seating area.
- Classes are matched to their age: 5–9 and 10–17.
- The first class is at our Hazelwood studio. Once enrolled, they can train at either location.
Ages 10–17 · Both locations
Teen Martial Arts
Fitness, self-defense and a room full of people who are pleased to see them. For a lot of teens that last part is the whole thing.
It is also the rare screen-free hour they choose for themselves. We do not lecture anybody about their phone — we just build something more interesting than one.
Strength, conditioning and flexibility
Practical self-defense and situational awareness
Friendships outside of school cliques
Ages 18–64 · Both locations
Adult Martial Arts
A workout that never feels like a workout, practical self-defense, and a room that notices when you miss a week.
Zero experience required, and we mean it — most adults who start here have never thrown a kick in their lives. Plenty begin after months of watching their kids from the seating area, which is a completely respectable way to start.
Full-body conditioning without the treadmill
Self-defense grounded in real situations
Train alongside your kids if you want to
Ages 65+ · Hazelwood only
Seniors Martial Arts
Low-impact training built around the things that actually matter at 65 and beyond: balance, mobility, and staying steady on your feet. Runs at our Hazelwood studio.
Nothing here is a scaled-down version of the adult class. It is its own program, run at a pace you set, with no jumping, no sparring you did not ask for, and no one half your age setting the standard. Sit a technique out and nobody says a word.
Most people arrive because a doctor mentioned balance, or because a friend fell. They stay because it is an hour with people who notice when they are not there.
Balance and fall prevention you can feel
Joint-friendly strength and mobility work
Practical, realistic personal safety
The seniors class runs at Hazelwood only. Check with your doctor first if you are managing an injury or a heart condition — and tell your instructor about it, so the class can work around it.
